Dez Bryant doesn't want to leave the NFC East after being released by the Cowboys Friday. He wants to take on Dallas as often as he can.

"Being in the division is a huge possibility, it’s something that I want," Bryant told NFL Network. "It’s personal."

Bryant repeatedly said during the offseason that he wanted to play for the Cowboys. He also said he didn't want to take a pay cut, but wasn't quite as strong expressing that point of view.

Neither really mattered to the Cowboys, though, as they reportedly released Bryant without even asking him to take less money.

The Lufkin native did not take kindly to the unceremonious departure from the town just two hours away from his childhood home. He also didn't like the narrative the team pushed before it let him go.

"I’m tired of being the scapegoat. I'm a real guy. I’m going to keep proving that on and off the field," he told NFL Network.

It is unclear what team Bryant is looking to join, but the Eagles are certainly a possibility for the former first-round pick. The Giants look to have their wide receiving corps set, and it has been reported the Redskins do not have interest in signing the former Cowboys wide receiver.

So if Bryant wants to stay in the division, it would appear the Eagles would be the team he would most likely join. We'll see how it plays out in the coming months.

Having been a free agent for a week now, Dez Bryant is still interested in landing with a team that is scheduled to play the Cowboys twice this season. But an NFC East avenue has yet to emerge.The Giants are the latest to hold off on making Bryant’s revenge dream a reality. Big Blue is not “at this point in time vying for his services,” Ian Rapoport of reports (via PFT’s Charean Williams). Bryant praised the Giants’ setup recently, expressing interest in being installed in the team’s skill-position arrangement.
