Danica Patrick's final NASCAR race, complicated legacy await

Danica Patrick's final NASCAR race, complicated legacy await As she walked into the media center at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, all the whispering stopped. The keyboard tapping, too. Everyone craned their necks and watched her climb the podium steps, sit down and speak into the microphone for what could be the final time. Everyone wanted to hear what Danica Patrick had to say. Patrick, 35, will run her final NASCAR Cup Series race next Sunday in the 60th Daytona 500. She will, barring a miraculous win in a worse car, end her career with no wins at NASCAR's top level.

So, as she has done before, she shared a side-by-side photos for comparison, pointing out the difference between what she calls “ stylized ” and “normal” photos . A post shared by Danica Patrick (@ danicapatrick ) on Feb 6, 2018 at 8:27am PST.

So, as she has done before, she shared a side-by-side photos for comparison, pointing out the difference between what she calls "stylized" and "normal" photos. In her caption, she specifically addresses women and girls and reminds them that nobody is perfect, encouraging them not to compare themselves to unrealistic standards they might see on social media.

I posted a before and after pic a while back that showed the difference between a stylized pic and “normal”. This is same lighting, same pose, just a clothing adjustment. Girls, it’s easy to look at pictures on social and get wrapped up in perfection. I’m not perfect, and neither is anyone else. As long as you’re putting in the work and eating well, your body will respond. But more importantly, your mind will. You will start saying things like - I can, I will, I’m strong, I feel good, I am happy...... the looks just come as a result of loving yourself through respect and positive self talk. No matter what your shape is, confidence and joy shine way beyond the physical. My goal in life is to be light. To be that person that walks into a room or up to someone and they just feel better. That’s has nothing to do with the way I look. But, I bet It looks beautiful to someone who needs it. And don’t we all want to be lit up? Now go be someone’s light today. Or many if you can!

Ragan says he, FRM are ready to 'elevate our game' .
Front Row Motorsports has won races in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series but driver David Ragan believes the time is right for the organization to become a “consistent contender.” FRM and owner Bob Jenkins have fielded entries in the Cup series since 2005, amassing 814 starts. The organization won its first race in 2013 with Ragan and added another victory in 2016 with driver Chris Buescher. What FRM has found elusive is the ability to run up front consistently, with only 14 top-10 finishes in those 800-plus starts.Ragan believes that could change this season.
