The actress will begin performances on April 10 and will be in the show through June 17.

Karen Cartwright may have already made it to Broadway , but Katharine McPhee has plans to make her debut in 2018. Propelled by the smash "Over It," her 2007 self- titled debut bowed at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and achieved an RIAA gold certification.

McPhee will succeed Bareilles in March at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre as lead character Jenna, a young waitress struggling with a toxic marriage and her attraction to her cute, married OB-GYN. Jessie Mueller originated the role in 2016, but lately Bareilles, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show, has been winning over audiences bringing her own songs to life.

Fans have been speculating for days that McPhee could be coming to Broadway this spring after an Instagram story revealed she’d be headed to the stage, without specifying which show.

Stanton: Yankees debut was better than spring in Miami .
Giancarlo Stanton can't even see Marlins Park in his rearview mirror anymore. Stanton officially donned a New York Yankees uniform for the first time in game action on Friday during their Grapefruit League opener against the Detroit Tigers. It wasn't a glamorous debut in pinstripes for the reigning National League MVP, but it's nonetheless a day he will likely remember for a long time. When he tried to compare Friday to past spring games he participated in with the Miami Marlins, it was simply no contest.
