  Serena Williams Says She Is ‘Lucky to Have Survived’ Giving Birth <p>The tennis star expresses her gratitude for the doctors and nurses who got her through a terrifying week post-childbirth.&nbsp;</p>Serena Williams appeared on the cover of the February 2018 issue of *Vogue with her new daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., born this past September. In that issue, Williams discussed the complications of her birth. Now, the tennis star is raising her voice again about her birth experience to bring attention to a serious problem around the world.

According to recent revelations, it appears the next arena she’s preparing to dominate is the world of cosmetics.

TMZ discovered that in late January, Williams filed to trademark the name “ANERES” — or, “Serena” spelled backward. While she first filed documents to trademark the name in 2003, that was solely for a clothing line.

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Williams’s line will include skin care (smart!), cosmetics and makeup kits, colognes and perfumes, lotions, and bodywashes. She also plans to release hair products, including normal and dry shampoos, hair sprays, and hair gels.

Williams has yet to comment on the line.

Her company has filed to trademark “Haus Beauty.”As Allure reported, Gaga’s company Ate My Heart, Inc. filed to trademark “Haus Beauty” in February. In addition to the litany of cosmetics and skin-care products, she plans to sells perfume, self-tanner, and body lotions. Gaga has not commented yet on the line, but has been using Haus-themed hashtags on Instagrams of her makeup for months.
