Motorcycles Here Is the First New Curtiss Motorcycle since the Company's Rebranding
Ducati World Theme Park Is Coming to Italy

Time to start talking the family out of Disney World.
As its name suggests, the park will be Ducati themed to showcase the Italian motorcycle company’s products. It will be a 35,000 square mile chunk of the Mirabilandia amusement park located on Italy’s northeast coast. Attractions will include a roller coaster that imitates riding a Ducati, simulations, virtual reality, and attractions for kids.
Curtiss Motorcycle Co. is releasing its first new model since itfrom Confederate Motors last year. The newly branded company is named after motorcycle and aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss who is often credited with inventing the V-twin motorcycle engine in 1903.
The new Curtiss Warhawk motorcycle will be limited to a 35 model production run. Curtiss Motorcycle Co. likes to name motorcycles afterand the Warhawk is no different. It is named after the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk that served in World War II. (The plane was produced by the Curtiss-Wright Corporation which is not affiliated with Curtiss Motorcycle Co., which has only been around since 1991.)
Ferrari Says That A Hybrid V8 Is 'Coming For 2019,' Will Undoubtedly Power Hopes And Dreams
It seems like a Ferrari hybrid V8 is just around the corner. Speaking with Auto Express recently, company boss Sergio Marchionne gave some hints about what could be the first hybrid production-ready Ferrari since the LaFerrari. From the story:“A Ferrari V8 hybrid is coming for 2019. The test mules are around now,” Marchionne confirmed. Marchionne claims that the new powertrain “needs to become more of a traditional hybrid [than the LaFerrari] to fulfill a different role.”“We will embrace electrification. It will become a mainstay in our portfolio,” Marchionne went on to say.
The Warhawk will be powered by a 2,163cc V-twin engine that makes 150-horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque linked to a five-speed manual transmission. The massive triple-camshaft OHV engine is cradled in a machined modular aluminum monocoque frame. The Warhawk has a claimed top speed of 165-plus mph.
“We’ve spent the past 27 years working to optimize and perfect Mr. Curtiss’s V-Twin invention,” explained Curtiss CEO Matt Chambers in a press release. “Everything we know is built into this machine. Because the Warhawk is based on our acclaimed P51 Fighter, the engine, powertrain, and chassis are as solid as a bank vault. But now, we’ve cranked it to 11. There are no more rabbits we can pull out of the proverbial hat. There’s simply no way to make a more explosive hot-rod American V-twin than the Curtiss Warhawk.”
Mutt Motorcycles' Fat Sabbath 125 - None More Black
Answering the question, "Just how black can a motorcycle be?" What? Yeah, you read right—Fat Sabbath. Now, as a proud metalhead and a guy who loves a good play on words, I couldn't resist this thing when the story came across my desk. A symphony in matte black, the Mongrel-based Fat Sabbath features Mutt's fuel injected, 125cc, Euro4-compliant single mated to a five-speed transmission. Brakes are discs all around, and it has a pretty standard fork/swingarm suspension setup. What really makes it stand out (well, for various metrics of standing out) is its all black theme.
Chambers is serious about that statement because this is the final gas-powered motorcycle his company will have produced. He’s made it official that every Curtiss motorcycle after this one will be.
“The American V-twin is undoubtedly the most iconic and revered powertrain in motorcycle history,” said Chambers. “As we prepare to lead an all-new golden age of electrified motorcycles, this Curtiss Warhawk represents the best and final chapter in American V-Twin power and refinement. We’re building a handful of these Warhawks in honor of Mr. Curtiss and as a bequeathment from the brand of yesterday to the brand of tomorrow.”
Production of the Curtiss Warhawk is underway and it has an MSRP as hefty as its engine at $105,000.

Curtiss Zeus is Judge Dredd's electric motorcycle .
When Confederate Motorcycles changed its name to Curtiss —Before unveiling the Zeus at this month's Quail Motorcycle Gathering, Curtiss had spoken of unveiling an electric bike called Hercules at the Quail. The Alabama-based company was working with Zero Motorcycles on the drivetrain, and the Hercules was reported to get a retail price of $30,000. We're not sure if the Zeus is a re-christened Hercules, or if targets were changed for the launch bike.
